Building a Safe and Trusting Relationship

A successful counselling relationship is built on honesty, trust and authenticity. You bring your own knowledge and experience of yourself. My role is to be alongside you — listening, reflecting and gently challenging where helpful — so that you can gain fresh perspective and find your own way forward.

I believe our early relationships and life experiences shape who we become. Together, we can explore how these experiences may be influencing your present life and relationships, and work towards change that feels right for you.

Supporting You to Find Your Own Answers

Counselling is not about being told what to do. It is about helping you speak your truth, feel heard without judgement and recognise your own inner strength and resilience.

I offer empathy, kindness and compassion, while also providing an objective perspective that may help you see things more clearly. We uncover your realistic choices together.

Open-Ended and Goal-Focused

I work on both a short- and long-term basis, depending on your needs. You decide how long you wish to continue.

We regularly review our work to ensure you are getting what you need and that our sessions remain focused on your goals.

Taking the First Step

Choosing a counsellor is an important and personal decision. The connection between counsellor and client matters and the quality of which very much determines the outcome of the therapy.

During our initial session, we will explore what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain. This meeting gives you the opportunity to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me. If it feels right for you, we can then arrange further sessions at a mutually convenient time.
