Counselling in Farnborough, Camberley, Fleet, Ash Vale, Aldershot, Farnham, Blackwater and surrounding areas.
I have completed the BACP online counselling course and The Online Therapy Institute Moving Your Practice Online course to enable me to offer you the choice of Zoom online or telephone counselling, whichever one you feel more comfortable with. I am planning on resuming face to face sessions from Monday August 3rd.
I am offering reduced rates for those financially impacted by this crisis which we can discuss together before our first session.
Does life feel like its getting on top of you but you just don't feel able to talk about it with friends or family members?
Do you feel as though nobody around you understands what you`re going through?
Do you feel embarrassed or ashamed to talk to friends or family about what the problem is?
Are you having relationship issues that feel too difficult for you to deal with?
Are you struggling to cope with the overwhelming grief you feel after losing a loved one?
Are you scared because of your own suicidal thoughts getting stronger and feel unable to stop them?
Could you benefit from a safe place to work through your innermost, often deeply buried feelings with an impartial person?
Would you like to feel more positive about your present day life, relationship and future happiness?
Are you feeling fed up with your life not being as fulfilling or meaningful as you had hoped for?
If you’re feeling less patient, less tolerant, more frustrated and have started to experience physical painful symptoms also, that’s stress showing up in your life and relationships. When we’re stressed we can’t respond in the ways we’d want to, which makes us feel worse about our ability to cope. On top of this, when stress or anxiety last for a period of time, physical health problems can be caused or worsened. Talking to a counsellor can help alleviate the pressure you feel under carrying all of this by yourself.
My name is Laura and I am a qualified counsellor/therapist based in Farnborough. As your therapist I am committed to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where we can work together therapeutically to make the positive and lasting changes you would like in your life.
I work on an open-ended basis with the aim of enabling you to unburden yourself from the issues that have affected your daily life, enabling you to live your life to it`s full potential. As your counsellor/therapist, I will be alongside you offering the empathy, kindness and compassion you have perhaps not received for a very long time but so desperately need. As an objective listener, I can offer a perspective that you may not have even contemplated before, helping you to gain more clarity and understanding of the situation/issue that is causing you distress. I believe my ability and willingness to truly focus on you, paying particular attention to the meaning of your chosen words, facial expressions and body language gives you a very real feeling of value and importance and how your feelings do matter and need to be acknowledged fully. I regard our counselling relationship as sacred, honouring, and of utmost importance to me.
My counselling practice is in a separate room of my home where we will not be interrupted or disturbed. I live within easy reach of Farnborough, Camberley, Frimley, Farnham, Aldershot, Ash Vale, Mytchett, Fleet, Hawley, Blackwater and Yateley .
As with most things in life, you truly get out what you put in, and in this case you are investing in the most important thing – yourself and your future.
